grown up nature table...

On our walks and bike rides over the weekend we collected some beautiful seed pods, pine cones, bark and grasses from by the side of the road. Arranged in glass jars, vases and cloches they make a gorgeous natural display which reminds us of the nature tables in our primary school classrooms - just a bit more grown up!

What an absolutely gorgeous display of native finds - I would never have thought to display them like this. Very inspirational - next time I'm out walking I think I'll try this! Thanks so much for sharing. Lee :)

Another stunner! How come pregnancy hasn't turned your brain to mush Claire - it's not fair, mine totally left my body! And yes, you sent me on a time travel escapade back to Miss Noble's class @ Clare Primary School. She was bit alternate for 1964 & always had a great display like this.

This is beautiful Clare - I could look at it for hours! So lovely to know it was all hand picked on your walks too.

this is lovely, and so nicely displayed, I have a couple of bowls here and there but nothing like this

there was a recent campaign in Country Living UK to bring back the nature table a few months ago in the schools, don't know if you saw it and ever since I have been trying to think of a way of doing it without having leaves and the like falling over the place - you did it for me, thanks!

oh and yes RYC on the books, bang on, decadent is the word I was looking for, I love books so much and getting them in my jammies at the end of the drive is nothing but pleasure
