It is great when you can reuse and recycle furniture that you already have lying around the house. When JJ turned her guest bedroom into a playroom, these cheap IKEA bedside tables were no longer needed for their original purpose. So she came up with the idea of putting them together with a tailored cushion, creating a little bench seat with room for books underneath. They now make a perfect spot to sit with a magazine and a cup of tea while the little ones play, and a great place to read a story.
In both of our 'dream' houses we would have enormous built-in window seats with loads of comfy cushions and heaps of hidden storage... until our grand plans materialise, it is always fun (and much more economical!) to make do!

Making do certainly works here!
That looks amazing, and so easy to do...if only I could sew :(

Great Idea!
Such a clever idea and it looks great!
I love this. I have been thinking about what to do with a corner I have empty here and this would work well.
I love the striped pillow fabric too. I just purchased some just like it!
