the miracle of white paint...

After...
Before...

My husband did a bit of painting on the weekend, transforming a coat rack and 'home corner' dresser from drab to fab. While he had the paint spray gun out I passed him an old spice rack that I picked up at Vinnies (charity shop) a few weeks ago (far too fiddly to paint with brushes) and it scrubbed up beautifully. A few pretty pink weedy flowers from the side of the road displayed in the spice bottles completed the makeover and made me smile. It looked a little wedding-y but pretty all the same. I thought about filling the two layers with Easter eggs for the next week but didn't think my will power was up to the challenge of having them on display! How are the rest of you chocoholics coping with all the temptation out there?

That looks fantastic! I had a bit of a chuckle when I saw this, the most creative I've been with an old spice jar is using it as a holder for my paint brushes -but I like your idea much better! Thanks so much for visiting my blog and your lovely comments, I really appreciate you taking the time to pop in.

White is such a winning colour as it goes with absolutely everything and it looks so fresh! I'm doing the same to an old side table I bought recently. Great idea!

That's so pretty. I would have walked straight past that spice rack if I'd seen it first. I love seeing the possibilities through other people's eyes.

I'm still blinking wildly at the transformation! And your entrance hall looks fabulous - what a treat it must be to walk into.
